b. who plays/sings what when
2. PRACTICE all the parts

3. RECORD THE AUDIO TRACK
a. Use the Garageband software on your MacIntosh or

a. PLAY BACK your soundtrack while you videotape yourself.
b. IMPORT the video files.
c. Open Windows Movie Maker or other video EDITING software on your PC

2. import the video
3. line up the video with the audio
4. edit the video
5. get a youtube account

PERFORM: 7:00pm

LEAVE STAGE: 7:25 pm

WHERE: Main Stage of Sights & Sounds (in the park by Gatti’s Pizza)

PARKING: Free Park-n-Ride
For your convenience, please park in the Texas State Strahan Coliseum parking lot
at the corner of Aquarena Springs Drive and Bobcat Drive, then ride the free shuttle to Sights & Sounds

on the banks of the beautiful San Marcos River

Directions to Parking: from IH 35, Exit #206-Aquarena Springs Drive. Follow the signs. At the traffic light, turn right onto Aquarena Springs Drive Immediately after the football stadium and the railroad crossing, the Strahan Coliseum parking lot is on the left.

WHAT TO WEAR: YOUR NAME TAG on this note. Cut out and safety pin it to your clothes. Christmas Colored Clothes, Santa hat(optional), NO REINDEER ANTLERS

Ballet Folklorico Dancers: wear black underneath YOU MAY NOT take the dress home. Black shoes, hair pulled back into a bun. Makeup and jewelry optional.

Elves: Red and Green and elf hat (elf hats are green, but if you wear green and have on a Santa hat, that will be ok)

WHAT DOES STUDENT DO WHEN THEY GET THERE?

1) Go to the enclosure by the 18 wheeler trailer next to the MAIN STAGE

2) Sign in on their HOMEROOM teacher’s folder OUTSIDE THE GATE

(Ballet Folklorico Dancers and Santa need to put on costumes.)

3) Enter the gate when OUR school is allowed in

4) Stand in the correct line Row 1, 2, 3, or 4 Singing Group, Dancing group , or instrument group(get instrument)

5) Perform

6) Exit the stage ONE ROW AT A TIME

7) Leave the enclosure or stay until your parents come get you

WHO: Fifth Grade Music Class Students
The Sights & Sounds organization has stipulated that we limit the number of students on stage for safety reasons. Therefore, we must LIMIT the students ALLOWED to perform. If a student shows up at the performance and they are NOT on the list of students to perform, they will NOT BE ALLOWED TO PERFORM. Only students meeting these criterion will be allowed to perform:
1) Students that are IN MUSIC CLASSES (if they are held out for title or to do classwork then they won’t be able to practice, so they won’t know the songs and routines)
2) Students that have RETURNED A SIGNED PERMISSION SLIP. a) signed by a parent or guardian AND
b) signed by a teacher verifying that the student is
FOLLOWING DIRECTIONS and PASSING CLASSES at school
3) Students that are consistently showing correct behavior and participation during music class.
PLEASE NOTE: if students qualify to be on the list and THEN refuse to do classwork, behave correctly, or participate properly in music class, they MAY BE REMOVED FROM THE LIST of those allowed to perform and/or have their part taken away

WHEN: Auditions and Rehearsals for Small Groups Singing Verses, Dance groups and Instrumental groups will be 7:40am-8:10am in the Music Room Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday
